I think that when people depend on you, you should do your best to protect them. This applies on an individual level, and it applies to companies as well. I believe that big tech companies, which billions of people rely on, should have a top-level priority to protect their users.
On a basic level, it could mean protecting their data & privacy -- which they entrusted you with. But since big tech is literally in a position to steer human technological development -- we also have a responsibility to make sure that tech gets used to build the best of worlds.
Their ONLY duty is to shareholders, everything else is corporate BS
And for Google, advertisers are the clients not the users
I would like to see corporates classified with an ethics and integrity rating to be displayed in their shop window, along the same lines as their bond credit rating ! Many would be rated junk
