  One reason I kind of liked the Bitcoin bubble, though: if things had gone a bit different in late 2017, all those blockchain startups would have been AI startups instead. It has been a breath of fresh air

  I understand your frustration with the hype, but I think calling it "inefficient" is a bit too harsh. Bitcoin expends external resources in place of internal people/processes. Can you share any insights into how you are measuring the "abuse" of these resources?

  When you have excess liquidity in the financial markets, every asset class experiences bubbles. Fortunately, wishful thinking doesn't make things come true - to the dismay of Bitcoin detractors. However, I can see why some may consider Bitcoin a bubble.
