The news cycle repeats the same stories every half hour so we can eliminate some stress by tuning out the repetition. Realize when they are intentionally misleading.

Agreed, there are lot of factors, but psychological factor is very first, people loosing own power and support, if they are stressed out. Unfortunately, exponentially growing tech life reflect on the exponentially growing stress in 2017.
