This was so easy for them technically speaking, so its baffling they didn’t take action years ago.
Bot detection, fraud detection are well-solved problems (ask the advertising industry and online payments industry). Twitter propaganda bots are not sophisticated compared to adversaries found elsewhere. Fixing the problem is purely a matter of will.
