Whatever they're paying you, it's not worth the money. Besides, if you're in tech, you could work anywhere else, so you are in a uniquely privileged position where doing the right thing has no real personal cost to you. Exercise this privilege, do the right thing.

So the problem is when particular groups (women, POC) are pushed out, thus systematically disenfranchising and denying them opportunities and access. Yes, do what's right for you, but we should all work to fix these places or burn them down. Leaving them isn't going to fix them.

(so point is, doing what's right for an individual is one calculus. Fixing places is a separate one. Prioritization is important. Also, it's everyone's responsibility to work on the latter)

I agree with the sentiment. I think it applies to more junior roles, but not so much to leadership. If everyone with a moral compass jumps ship... who is left to steer it?

This is such an important point. Leaving should be the last resort. Try to fix what is wrong within the organization first.

"If you find yourself working for an employer that's toxic to society, leave. For everyone's sake." Quitting Google? Their insane bias and dangerous toxicity sure stink to high heavens. Don't go to FB though. They're worse.
