I think successful tech solves problems that people have, in a way that's clearly superior to previous alternatives. Blockchain is a solution in search of a problem.

2/ The openness and inclusiveness of open source combined with the right economic incentives stands to coherently organize more human energy than even the largest technology companies. Applications built as open standards will therefore become increasingly hard to compete with.
