No you won't. AGI will appear suddenly, fully formed, and take the world by surprise. There will be no ramping up via incremental advances culminating in AGI. There will be a before and there will be an after. Boom!

I should add that the idea that incremental progress can lead to intelligent systems of arbitrarily high complexity is 100% bogus. It's a Darwinist idea. It's stupid.
