Bingo. Having lived and worked myself for almost 3 years in China, I have witnessed this trend firsthand. It's a burnout epidemic in the making, and it is far from translating into valuable output.
Exactly. You will not beat China on its core advantage: throwing a lot of (relatively cheap) people at a task. You have to be smarter. Europe has a few things to consider as well, and paternal leave and support is one of them.
Btw, China has just experienced the year with lowest births in history, also due to lack of child care facilities and extremely high costs for raising a child. This will get back to China eventually.
