The human mind is an infosec disaster. The way it forms opinions has many flaws (among them, so-called cognitive biases), and because it never gets patched, plenty of systems around us have evolved to exploit these flaws with ruthless efficiency, from religion to politics...

And yet, as measured by evolution, the brain is an extremely successful design, billions of years in the making. The "logic" of survival is not what we call "rationality." Neither is it inferior to reason.

that's not how evolution works

The golden rule, however, provides a good reference point. Key is to use it.

Indeed it seems none of our opinions are truly ours yet being able to combine many ideas from our environment and build upon black boxes has led to extraordinary results. I suppose the question probes whether true objectivity can be implemented to create non biased agents.
-
Moreover can an agent learn to discern these inherent biases that are default to humans or would it be more prone to converge via softmax which bias agrees most with a current objective. Seems personal gains would overcome all.

Interesting! Would our networked nature provide any advantages? i.e. collectivity are we any better off?

You write as if our ways of thinking are hardwired by biology, and are not hugely influenced by culture and society.

Yes, but in the short term. The system learns & adapts over time (but for exceptions ofcourse ;)). Hence the timeless value of ancient (essentially) wisdom. Growing wise is the best way yet to beat (or effectively manage) cognitive biases imho.
