Completely agree. The problem is that insofar as the output of the AMAs are concerned, there are a fraction of useful exchanges which might (however incorrectly) serve to reaffirm r/ml as a useful platform. Would the alternative be to abstain completely? Host elsewhere?

The AMAs are certainly very valuable. The fix would simply to host them elsewhere, like on Quora, which is well-moderated, has already very nice ML discussions, and has good support for AMAs
