i found it: the most obscure python incantation. x[...,::-1] swaps RGB/BGR whether x is a single image or an array of images.

for me, this represents many layers acquired knowledge: x[i], x[i,j], x[:,j], x[-i], x[:n], x[n:], x[a:b], x[::k], x[::-k], x[...,::-k]. without taking the previous ~8 steps i wouldn't have had any idea what x[...,::-1] meant :)
