Current social media bots are ridiculously low-tech, completely obvious, and still go undetected by Twitter and Facebook. I shudder to think what will happen when our adversaries start throwing significant AI at their task.

The content is always human-written anyway. It's the metadata that will become adversarial: posting patterns and schedule, profile pics, bios, etc.

In Twitter, most of the bots have been retweeting other accounts (before/after they share their own ads/etc.). Amount of followers/follows sometimes shows the issue, even without looking at the content at all.
