Culture rehashes; tech is arguably the only true source of novelty, as it expands our affordances. Novel art should be close to novel tech.
Phrased differently: you can only create a new emotion if you first create a new thing you can *do*. Which is what tech achieves.

i politely disagree w "culture rehashes", the focus on novelty in art, the idea of "new emotions", including them emerging from "tech" :)
