Human-level AI is often forecast 20 years in the future. I think that's overly optimistic, by a large factor, and I am willing to bet on it

Interesting, you’ve gone beyond what I think of as “sensorimotor control” to more general cat intelligence... survival/navigation/planning.
I was thinking of intelligence in general (it's a prediction abt AI progress): not any specific behavior, but the ability to learn new ones

If you focus on one specific behavior, it is generally solvable by either hard-coding the solution or brute-forcing it. But that's not AI
