I've tried to implement basic seq2seq in chainer and PyTorch - almost same code, PyTorch one worked, chainer didn't. Choice obvious.

I suspect that's anecdotal. I hear from both PyTorch & Chainer users, and the PyTorch ones seem more likely to complain (perf/stability)
