My guess is few. The perceived cost of not using it (can't talk with friends) is more tangible than the cost of using it (loss of privacy)
I wonder how many people would stop using Instagram or WhatsApp if they realized they're Facebook apps

For that reason I have never used them. I have seen automated emails from Google triggered by obvious scraping of user activity. Troubling.
