Because AI advances faster than its industry deployment, there's a gap between what's possible & what's being done. In that gap: opportunity
The democratization of AI consists in filling that gap with easy-to-use open-source tools, and documentation (books, blogs, classes...)

Until the gap is filled, many startups (and large companies) will come and go selling APIs, platforms, and consulting services

As one of those "entities" that does this. I have to say: I don't think AI will ever be "democratized".

IMO accessible sources of machine learning talent are needed to achieve democratization too (& that's what we're working on coincidentally)
