2 names out of N is the definition of fringe. A top statistician, RA Fisher, long denied smoking caused cancer. It was still a fringe view.
Again, it is dangerous & irresponsible to try to pass fringe fear-mongering as mainstream among experts. Intellectual dishonesty

As a matter of fact, some top statisticians did. The empirical and philosophical grounding of their denial is a separate issue. Same here.
