      That's right! You have exponential genealogic ancestors, far less genetic ancestors, & a relatively small number of effective DNA ancestors

      They're what you would draw on a genealogy tree, which is a binary tree. http://www.thegeneticgenealogist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Genealogical-Family-Tree.jpg … as opposed to "genetic ancestors" (the set)

          from looking at exmaples, in the abstract it is always assumed to be binary, while when drawing concrete cases where there are closed loops
