I think productivity really boils down to one single factor: the velocity of decision-making. Make decisions quickly instead of delaying

If you are well aware of the current state of your cognitive ability (e.g. not too tired, etc) & the current amount of info you have, (1/2)
then delaying a decision does not lead to making a better decision eventually. It's purely a psychological cope-out. (2/2)

Fair. Difficulty is knowing/trusting whether the current amount of info is adequate.

There is almost never enough time to validate everything, so people trust the opinions of others (even when those conflict with reality...).
