I think the reason we became smart is precisely because we are able to communicate efficiently using very low bandwidth biological channels.

Input bandwidth isn't a bottleneck, and talk of increasing it is absolute nonsense. Consider that even (moderate) speed reading doesn't work

Speed-reading has phys constraints (attending, focusing etc). Try yourself, read words and then think/speak them, the second is faster.
