Not just ML, any tech field needs more of the humanities. The essence of the humanities is what truly defines what an "education" is.

An engineering degree is not an edu, it is training. Add to the lack of education good money, and you get a strange kind of individualism.

I believe the only fix is to make deep learning accessible to normal people doing normal jobs. Few saying "democratize AI" actually do this
