It's an anecdotal answer, but `range` returns an it in Python 3 and an entire list in Python 2. Python 3 is meant to be async!
It's an anecdotal data point, but Keras tests take 10% longer in Python 3 compared to Python 2. Same code in both cases.

point being, python 2 code is not idiomatic python 3. If you return list(range(..)), you're missing out on iters.
