      We mean to tell whether a story is true or false, not to evaluate a particular post that has a lot of metadata, user behavior, etc

      serious outlets fact-check their stories. A story that is reported by none is likely to be fake. By most, likely to be true.

      this is not a different problem (nor more difficult) than web search. Which is also very adversarial.

      web searches for "does hillary traffic children" suggest the answer is yes; search has solved relevance but not veracity

      this specific algo is using links as proxy for keyword relevance, I would suggest using a trustworthiness network instead.

          search wasn't designed with the purpose of filtering truth. But I think we can apply the same techniques to this new problem

          Leverage reputation. Reliable news orgs will cite other reputable orgs. Seed with @washingtonpost, @nytimes, etc.
