Late 2016, deep learning is mature enough that we can start exploring much more ambitious ideas. We have a solid foundation to build upon.

How do you respond to the AI Winter fear i.e. the pessimistic view that we might not be able to make anymore 10x jumps.
I expect that AI will keep moving very fast for at least the next 5 years. Longer term, it's hard to tell. But I'm optimistic.
