Today I tried posting on /r/MachineLearning (of all places...). Immediately got attacked by a troll named "NukeIsrael". Just Reddit things.

HN is at least properly moderated, and doesn't have a culture that encourages popularity contests based on bad humor or trolling.

/r/ML tends to focus on underlying machine learning, so if you post promo indirectly related it's often shot down.

The responses are not friendly, but if it had been a technical post rather than VC-funded website, it would have flown.
