      So today, following recent reflexions, I have started a bottom-up rewrite of Keras, which should be completed in a week or so.

      It is intended to be 100% backwards compatible (at least for all documented features). However legacy features will be cleanly separated

      @cmyr it will be fully backwards compatible unless you are using undocumented internal features. Callbacks are not affected.

      @fchollet I do a bit of non-vanilla stuff; my own class-based version of fit-generator stuff etc. Anyway will hold off pending a peek.

      @cmyr Custom layers etc. will be fine. Honestly I don't expect anyone's stuff to break, but it's technically impossible to guarantee it 100%
