I would predict that people's willingness to use violence is a sigmoid response to the prevalence of violence around them. Any actual study?
@vakibs incredible drop in violence in e.g. Japan over the past 400 years suggests biology is not relevant. Violence is vanishingly rare now

@vakibs Surely if biology was the dominant factor then violence would be constant as genetic factors stay constant. -

@vakibs But Japan went from extreme levels of violence to a (almost completely) non-violent society while population is still the same. -
@fchollet We also have to see systemic violence, produced almost automatically. E.g, Factory farming of animals. Or keeping people in slums.
