@deliprao For sure. But at least it's one place where the solution is fairly easy: anonymize applications.

@fchollet another aspect, how will you take affirmative action for poorly represented groups if they're anonymized?

@deliprao Wouldn't that be discriminatory? Shouldn't we prefer a merit-based, 100% race-blind and gender-blind selection process?

@deliprao I'm all for helping disadvantaged folks, with education programs, scholarships, etc. But no compromise on meritocracy.
