  I agree. Check out Antifragil(I assume you have read it already), nature is bottom up, not top down. That creates redundancies within the system, that allow for experiments that create bottom up shifts in behaviour.

  Agree, especially w.r.t. developer tools. A decade+ ago, it might have made sense to rely on a single company to build a closed-source platform; but now tools are only as good as their OSS ecosystems. "Do you hear that thunder? // That's the sound of strength in numbers."
