It's a great thing but I don't think they are doing it because of altruism
I really appreciate Microsoft's turn towards supporting open-source. Generally speaking, the company has been doing great things under Satya.

I wish I could like a like. It's a BIG DEAL that MS is where it is behaviorally and perceptually as an organization right now. If you are in one way or another competing with MS, you'd better be paying attention.

I'm pretty worried about things going in an "embrace, extend, extinguish" direction but maybe that's not the strategy anymore, vs Azure being the center of the business.

It’s easy when tech stock prices have been going up to think long term but when the sector is under pressure, that’s when a leader gets real credit for making and pushing the hard decisions that look bad in short term and uncertain in long term.
