I wonder what % of ML projects are done with the goal of writing a blog post about it vs actually accomplishing something of value. Definitely guilty of it.

is this bad for the industry? some thoughts: • the "sexy effect": making everyone think all ML projects are crazy cool and complicated • companies won't reveal their most valuable projects to keep their edge • is valuable ML boring by blog post standards?
