When faced with a choice between two possible options that seem equally good, you can break the tie by asking, from which outcome will I learn more? Our decisions are also experiments.

Typically we minimize the maximum loss! Meaning, we can ask from what I lose less. Every decision means losing other choices.

Interesting Perspective .. Generally the decision is based on which option might be more beneficial even if marginally, which is based on prior learning and results reinforce future decisions.

Just casually remembering the woman in the psych hospital who supposedly put her arm in a circular saw at work and had a cadaver tendon transplant to save her hand.

She said if she had just listened to her husband when he told her to come home and make love to him none of this would have happened and that she did this to herself.

Learn more or better? Quality of knowledge is also important feature of learning heuristics frequently omitted in debate.

More importantly, when faced with a choice between equally bad options, you should select the one you can live with. Credits @SiliconHBO
