The most interesting tension in education is how we develop ourselves entirely through our interactions with our environment and those around us, yet we are not (for the most part) *shaped by them*. Education is a particularly strange kind of open-ended game.

I've been reading on mimetic theory and potential neural correlates inc. mirror neurons etc. For a given educational environment, say training a surgical resident in a hospital, I wonder how much of the education includes intuiting +mimicking the desires of senior surgeons
