Lots of folks (e.g. in my replies) confuse being able to name something and being able to explain it (i.e. understand it). "Why does each half of the earth get cooler/hotter in opposite yearly cycles?" "Duh, that's just seasons"

Naming things closes doors too easily. The reality behind these questions easily answered with a single term is extraordinarily complex, and very few people actually understand it.
