Technology is humanity's metaphorical wings. The climate crisis is our Icarus event. Not the challenge of a nation or a generation, but the challenge of a species and an epoch.

The climate crisis will sterilise the planet. It ruins the Earth for life, for ever. The crisis is existential for all life on Earth...

‘politics’ is negociation at large scales. hard to see how it is ‘obsolete’. with the market, it seems very complicated. also the OT seems off the mark. ‘politics’ and the ‘market’ i see related to social technologies (ie modes of organization and system of incentives). here,

If there is one or more great filters, the probability that we live in a simulation drops to approximately zero Between great filter and simulation, I think the great filter is more likely https://twitter.com/search?q=great+filter+from:trylks … What do you think is more likely?

Climate crisis has become the watermark embedded in the fabric of the world. People lack the light (the knowledge) to look at it. Once there is sufficient light and visibility, it identifies the makers (we humans) like a typical watermark.

This topic should be dealt with utmost solemnity in the academia before it becomes completley irreversible which is imminent.
