Rather a lot of people in tech wonder if crypto, or large parts of it, is an emperor with no clothes and don’t want to say so publicly. That’s not to say that it is, but there is a real reluctance to be publicly skeptical regardless of private sentiment.

Great principle. And that’s why I’m a believer. Real example (one of many) without names: Say you have a portfolio of securities in your brokerage and you would like get a funding from local bank based on it. If you’re not in the US or UK you’re out of luck to connect pieces.

In Crypto you could do it easily in a permissionless way. Also the experience is seamless. The catch is that ‘securities’ have to be crypto native, but that’s regulatory issue that needs to be fixed.
