Unlike natural language, there's no pronunciation you have to pick up. You're not at any particular disadvantage if you start after 15.

I don't think you have to start programming as a kid. I started programming seriously at 20 (though I had some contact with programming previously, it was extremely superficial). I spent my first 3 college years studying math and physics almost exclusively.

I see! Perhaps that is why I keep looking your posts unknowingly. Math/physics is essential for prob solving skill which is the main part of good programming.
