Only if humanity doesn't go extinct.
-
A reduction of population by 80% would suffice, e.g due to crop failure, and be far from extinction with a population of over 1 billion.

In perpetuity? Let's hope we're not nearing a self-inflicted natality-reducing climate-related pandemic-stricken dystopian future - otherwise that device will be running out of faces to display every second. Might need to increase the time threshold to minutes or more.
-
Perhaps, he also took into account that several babies per second are born. While the ones already displayed may die some day, new ones will maintain the perpetuity, as the demand (one per sec) is still lesser than supply (many per second) !

1. yes http://thispersondoesnotexist.com/ 2. no. In RL, people *do* have very similar faces. You can occasionally come across that yourself, but will notice only if you remembered the face already. It's a thing in biometrics. There are "patterns" for humans, probably genetically.

OP wrote "same person", not "same face"

Who forgets this? Who is the kind of person who forgets this? So regular people not think about this all the time?
