The best programming language is the one you know well and enjoy using. The one that makes you feel productive. Minecraft was written in Java, by someone who knew Java.

If the creator of Minecraft felt like he needed a CS PhD + deep mastery of C++ to work on his ideas, Minecraft *wouldn't exist*. Success generally doesn't hinge on the difference between perfect execution and average execution, but in the difference between something and nothing.

Mostly true, within constraints - some tools are just better for some tasks than others.

I totally agree with you, you can achieve greatness with any toolset. But it's also important to learn your tools and become aware of their limitations or features, so you can use them to your advantage. TLDR; You shouldn't really try to hammer a nail with a water balloon.

I feel, any toolset won't do. It's not also just the maker. it's a combination of toolset relevance for the time period, competition and its mastery. Eg. A biker cannot defeat a supersonic jet in speed, however good the biker's skills unless it's a supersonic biker of sorts

I think this idea is always presented as black and white and it's just not one or the other. The tool and the user are both important. Sometimes using what you know is best. Sometimes learning a new tool is better. It's very situation dependent.
