The real Twitter ratio is the likes / followers ratio. If you have tons of followers and can't get any engagement, either your followers are fake or your tweets are bad

The fact that there are accounts out there with 1.5 million followers and 20 likes per tweet on average is proof that Twitter is still far from having cleaned up its bots / fake followers problem (though it's not nearly as bad as it was in 2016)

I’d assume that a significant chunk of those are once in N (N - days, months, quarters) users who’ll never see your tweet since it’ll be under a huge pile when they log in.
