Fair enough. In any case, requiring people to change their address when they move or other similar changes are hardly "voter suppression". The only voters being suppressed in this case are those who are incapable of following extremely simple instructions.
There is no doubt to external observers that, in many states, the system is designed to make it as difficult as possible for certain categories of people to vote. And in some cases, to prevent auditability.
it is more important to ask why ID or other requirements are somehow too onerous for people in a rich country to handle, rather than having a meltdown over voter suppression.
In theory you can’t buy alcohol or weed or drive a car or legally work for a living without having photo ID. I suspect that most of these people who don’t have one are either in the country illegally (in which case they shouldn’t be voting) or are watching Jerry Springer all day.
