I read a book about modern child pyschology (I think Alison Gopnik) - it posited that for under 2yos, their daily experience feels like adult's experience on vacation or when something truly new is happening. They live entirely in the other universe of wonder, not the quotidian.

Imho there is only one world, our life is just the sample we have access to. There are as many purposes to art as there are artworks: it’s just one of those broad vague convenient terms that we use for things we don’t really understand: being, time, god, love, consciousness...
