I think most people are good people. Not in the shallow sense that they can't be cruel, violent, or indifferent, but in the sense that they have plenty of good sides that they can readily express if you give them the opportunity

Much like Adam Smith, can we trust social networks, and the way we use them, based on such optimism- or do we take into account our baser natures? (not taking into account "the Invisible Hand" is at least on some level broken in modern times...)

I've been warned about the dangers of Twitter, but Idecided to start using it anyway. To my surprise, it's been a very powerful learning tool, I had the chance to talk directly to people I've never dreamt about. Of course, I block a lot of users, so my timeline stays clean.
