Obviously, they don't have a problem with mechanisms for sourcing, verification, and accountability. They just want to be told things they agree with.

You can't fight that with better trust mechanisms (than what outlets like the NYT implement). And you most definitely can't fight that with "blockchain" (whatever that may mean)

True for some, but not all. Also, begging the question of how often MSM is lying, which is not never.

It pretty much is.

"the mainstream media" always manages to encompass all world media, too. Like, the news in Brazil is corrupt? France? What about Indonesia, do reports from there about things like COVID count? Japan? Any historical enemy or ally telling the truth still?

I mean look at israel palestine, msm had so much blatant propaganda, there's totally conspiracy trump people who use "CNN sucks" as an excuse to listen to Alex Jones or whatever bs, but that's not to say mainstream media is perfect. There's tons of dishonest/misleading reporting

It's good practice to always consider whether people appearing stupid are actually acting sensible, given their information about the world. In this case, I'd argue that who doesn't trust the MSM typically doesn't have any other good sources left, thus has to pick bad ones.

I'm not sure if it would work but the idea of a simultaneity event was conceptualized to reach these individuals by facilitating a global scale social synchronicity. eg once a week on sync several billion people all around the world just start clapping for no apparent reason..
-
unlikely but hypothetically speaking if it just starts happening that would be
why are you clapping? why am I clapping along with everyone else? oddly enough idk...
why is everyone clapping?
the reasoning behind the why in theory & overtime will be less important than..pic.twitter.com/JrwgbcV9qW
