There are organization values we all agree on -- respect, honesty, freedom to speak out. I think optimism is an extremely important, yet overlooked one. We should all do more to foster optimism in our organizations (and in our society / civilization).
Don't immediately assume the worst possible outcome is the most likely. Believe in long shots. Reward reasonable bets even if they don't work out. Encourage fast decision making for choices that can be easily reverted.
