Not that I would recommend anyone do such a thing, but compared to San Francisco you could eat a meal off a sidewalk in NYC no problem. We will spare your feed the list of things I haven't seen here that I would see 100% of the time on a walk through Frisco.
The bad parts of SF are easily 10x worse than the worst parts of NYC

Yup and with a fraction of the population. Truly sad SF is incapable of doing better (just the opposite, seemed like as the bull market got hotter and more $ was made, they did worse)
