Everything in the beginning is always strange to the outside user. Airbnb, Uber, iPhones, etc... But it caught people's interest which made them buy/use the tech. Then finally they catch on.
World-changing technology usually doesn't seem very impressive in its first iteration -- merely *intriguing*. Good things happen when you follow the gradient of curiosity
