On the topic of incentive engineering: here's an idea that needs more love: services where you can configure behaviors/habits you want to develop, that will reward you if you succeed and charge a fee if you fail.

LOL, the sleep deprivation of parents during this stage is natural and will pass. Just one word of advice: As he is growing up, he will ask you to play with him or just watch him play. Stop what your doing--no matter how important your work seems at the time and play with him...

For if you don't, he will stop asking you to spend time with him, and do things on his own. Then you will wish that he wanted to spend more time with you. I know this is quite a few years in the future, but it's just something to keep in mind if you want a good bonding with him.
