I think so, too. It is too exaggerated...
It's getting better, but there's still too much deep learning hype for deep learning to truly flourish. Best days are still ahead -- once the tech doesn't make headlines anymore

You mean, we're at the peak phase of the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hype_cycle of Deep Learning before going down and reasonably up again ? Honestly, I thought we would have already reached the disillusion phase by now, but I can't see the end of it... So many AI breakthroughs every year.
